Oh..YAR…! How can I forgot that….

My first day on job was 19 JULY 2015….

I think my boss was selected that day intentionally. I was interviewed on 15 JULY amd was expecting call letter within 3–4 days.

But suddenly on the 16 JULY morning (about 12 pm) I received call from my boss asking me to come over to site.

So with a heavy (a far heavy) rock on my heart I had to go to site.

Now moving toward technical part…

Actually I was a scholar student in my academic, but I was clueless about things to be done on site. Sp when I reached the site I was just standing their as crazy person looking here and there to find some clue on work, but was unable to do so….

Finally my come to me and helped me and gave a large lecture on things done by engineer on site. In that one day I visited three different sites. but after visiting those site I got engaged with the things and totally forgot that regret.

So onnfirst day of my job I learnt following things;

  1. You are a engineer and you have to behave like that. If dont know then ask if you know then imply if yo implied then supervise if you supervised then finalise. So you can’t sit over their without doing anything. There is always somthing to learn or work.

  2. Don’t underestimate the labours, they have better knowledge than you. (Okay…I had a very embarrassed event for that) so never ever laugh at labour without full knowledge. And offcourse dont just look at them instead learn from them.

  3. Presence of mind is must. On site you came across no. Of problems each day (from tiny one to big one) . thus to solve them you must have either one of this (i.e. Experience or Presence of mind) .

  4. Never ever hesitate to ask questions or clear doubts. No matter which person you asking never hesitate. Somtimes one small mistake from you due to your guess may got you into big trouble.

  5. Half knowledge is very very dangerous. Don't ever take a job without supervision which you don't know about. If you are not educated at job then always take expert advice.

In additional to above thing I had learn lots of thing about how to act on site , how to behave with labours etc.etc.
